Le Jeu de la Savoie keeps growing: new games, dark mode and multilingual site

A lot has happened since our last update! Here's a roundup of what's new on Le Jeu de la Savoie over the past few weeks.
Two new Savoyard challenges
Marmotte Savoyarde: catch the tommes!
A new arcade-style mini-game makes its debut: help the marmot catch the Savoyard tommes — alpine cheese wheels — falling from the sky while dodging the bombs that appear from level 2 onwards. Ten levels of increasing difficulty — aim for the highest score before the last level ends!
Savoie Quiz: the site's headline challenge
For Savoyard trivia fans, a new mode combines the three themes (culture, history, sport) into a single match. It's now the featured challenge on the homepage — take it on to push your overall score higher.
Your favourite games, better than before
Several of our signature games have been thoroughly modernised:
- Anagramme Savoie (formerly Word Scramble) — redesigned interface, smoother gameplay, playable without an account.
- Hidden Letters, Rebus and all the quizzes — rewritten for faster responsiveness and stronger server-side anti-cheat protection.
A site that speaks your language
Le Jeu de la Savoie is now available in five languages: French, English, German, Italian and Spanish. Article categories, game names and descriptions, and the entire interface automatically adapt to your browsing language.
A new About page tells the story and philosophy behind the site — also translated into all five languages.
Dark mode and mobile experience
The site now switches automatically to dark mode based on your device preferences, with improved readability in both themes. The mobile layout has also been reworked for a smoother experience, especially on narrow screens.
Your account, your records, your podium
The personal area has been fully redesigned: a general leaderboard with a top 3 podium, a compact view of your per-game records, and the option to mark your favourite games for quick access.
Good news on performance too: the site loads faster thanks to image and cache optimisations.
